Kookum’s Cabin (Kookum means ‘Grandma’ in Cree)

The cabin is a 3 room cabin. It currently has 4 beds situated between a bedroom and an open concept dining room and kitchen. There is a bathroom consisting of a tub/shower with toilet and sink. There is an aboriginal theme to this cabin. Several aboriginal paintings adorn the walls. It has a wood stove. This cabin sits directly on the lakefront and has a beautiful lakefront view.

Grandpa’s Getaway

The main part of this cabin is an original log cabin from the 1920’s. It has a modernized addition that includes basic living amenities, a small kitchen with stove, fridge and sink. 5 beds are shared between 2 bedrooms. A wood stove helps hunters dry their hunting gear. The overall feel of this cabin is a rustic hunting cabin. This cabin sits directly on the lakefront and boasts a beautiful lake front view.

Grandma’s Cottage

This cabin is a 2 room guest cottage. It consists of 1 bedroom, with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. A pull out couch is in the kitchen/dining room. This cabin includes all modern kitchen amenities as well as a full bathroom with tub/shower, toilet and sink. It has a partial outside deck with sitting area. This cabin will have the feel of stepping back in time to “Grandma’s Cottage.”

This newly renovated cabin is over 1000 square feet. It has a fully modern kitchen with living room, seating area, full bathroom and 2 bedrooms. In the master bedroom contains a queen size bed. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds (single bed over double bed) and another single bed. In the living room the sectional pulls out to a double bed. An electric fireplace helps keep you warm and toasty! The lake is visible from this cabin as it overlooks Grandpa’s Getaway. Bedding is provided in this cabin.

Each of the cabins is uniquely decorated with artwork specifically handpicked to match the theme of each cabin. Many pieces showcase the unique cultural heritage of northern Manitoba.
